Is it possible to clear the old screenshot?

From what I've read in the issue tracker the plugin works by taking a screenshot of the page and then transitioning using the animation. However sometimes the animation leaves the fixedBottomFooter and some artefacts (as mentioned in other issues) in some circumstances.

Is there a function that we can call to redraw the current view over the top of everything and remove said artefacts?
