Running textual on raspberry pi

Hello, I am trying to run a fairly simple application on a raspberry pi 4b. I have a situation when I use the Static widget everything is fine. When I add any other widget the application does not display anything. I'm using raspbian OS, version 12, and I've tried running it on basic LXTerminal and Terminator.

Could you show us the most minimal stand-alone example of the code that doesn't show anything? It could be that it's nothing to do with you running on a Pi, but perhaps a styling issue and you'd see the same problem in any environment.

Yes, sorry, I changed it, but you were the first :) so is there any possible reason why it doesn't work on my Pi?

I'm not aware of any reason, and I can't think of any reasonable reason. To really help I think we'd need a lot more information. Things like Python version, Textual version, how you've got it installed. What version of the code you are testing with works, and what the next step is that causes it to stop working. What "not working" looks like (just a blank terminal, is that right?). How are you running the application? If you're using the devtools, do you see any error in the console?

If you do have textual-dev installed, perhaps a good place to start would be to run textual diagnose and post the result.

Other interesting things would be: can you run the Textual demo? Are you able to run any of the Textual examples?

Textual is known to work well with RPi so I would suspect something in your dev environment, as Dave suggests...

So i'm using Python 3.11.2 and 0.41.0 textual version. I installed it by pip install textual in my env. It works:
