Performance when rendering large content

I have a usecase of rendering some large content. This is making my app very unresponsive. After some profiling it seems like render_strips method on this large content is being called with the same arguments when mouse hovers over it. I have a test example below where render_strips is taking over half a second. In my case the rendering of content is meant to be static (i.e. height, width and styles are fixed). What would be the best way to avoid this rerendering?

This is with textual==6.9.0 on linux/kitty.

Interestingly if I chop the content into pieces of 200 lines each, the example remains very responsive...
