swet's mount bugged

swets seem very bugged in 1.12.2-1.5.4.1 (no other mods, latest forge):

1. it walks towards you
2. it shows the interface like you're riding a mob
3. the swet can be controlled / moved around
4. it is playing the "jump" noise repeatedly in my ear. like absolutely ear grating - definetely something wrong
5. I can shift to dismount the swet
6. if I dismount, then the jump attack thing doesn't happen and the swet disappears

creating this issue as a follow up from discord

no swet cape. no auto jump. no nothing.
