Great work! I'd like to ask if it's possible to translate a language (e.g., Japanese) into Chinese using this repository? What should I be aware of? Thank you!

It’s not supported directly right now. This repo is fine tuned for Bengali–English speech translation, so Japanese to Chinese would need extra work. You’d have to fine tune the model with Japanese audio and Chinese translations and adjust the language settings. Also worth noting that Whisper Tiny is quite small, so translation quality for this pair may be limited. A larger Whisper model and good quality data would likely give much better results.
