Getting started with OpenLane – looking for contribution opportunities

Hi everyone,

I’m an electronics and communication engineering student exploring OpenLane to better understand open-source RTL-to-GDS automation and flow orchestration.

I’ve been going through the repository and documentation to understand how the Python-based flow control works and how OpenLane integrates tools like OpenROAD and Yosys.

I’d like to start contributing in areas such as flow automation, tooling improvements, CI/tests, or documentation around the OpenLane pipeline. Are there any beginner-friendly issues or follow-up tasks where an extra contributor would be helpful?

Happy to start small and align with current priorities.
