[ERROR RSZ-1008] FixedDelay conversion out of range: INF

Hi,

I have OpenROAD-flow-scripts installed on ubuntu 20.04, commit 33e29bf. When I try to place the design I get the following error:

I have tried to significantly relax the timing requirements, but I seem to get the exact same results during global placement. Any help would be appreciated. A subset of my design (lower level in the hierarchy) does seem to work.

The solution mentioned in a previous (closed) discussion with a similar error (different value) should not apply here, I think, since I am working with a later commit as mentioned there.

Can you provide a test case?

I have managed to isolate the part of the design that causes the issue and made a dummy implementation based on it. It contains a memory that is simply synthesized and implemented using flip-flops. I realize this probably better done with a memory macro, but I assume it still should not lead to this error during placement.

Hi Matt, thanks I didn't know that was an option. I tried uploading the resulting archive but I get a 'file size too big' error. It's 560 MB. Is there anything I can remove from the archive to reduce it (./results is the largest, but I assume that is what you need)?
