Any golden tool that can produce a spef is acceptable. I can't advise on proprietary tools but I would expect the necessary setup to be part of your PDK. |

I tried with Cadence Quantus RC with success. Corner files were required and present in the PDK. |

Hello,
Hi, I am working on modifying the ASAP7 PDK to be used in a 3D-IC flow. To do this, I am following the Open3Dbench instructions, which are based on OpenROAD. I have already modified the technolef, libs, and related files. Now, I need to generate the .rules file.
I followed the steps listed here:
https://github.com/The-OpenROAD-Project/OpenRCX/blob/master/doc/calibration.txt
Step A was straightforward — I successfully generated the patterns.v and patterns.def files.
For Step B, I need to use an external tool to generate the SPEF file. I intended to use Synopsys StarXtract, but it requires a corners file, which I do not have.
Could you please advise on the preferred tool or method to generate a SPEF file without requiring a corners file?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
