How to store data in memory chip? Can I modify the SN name?

Hello, we have used ic4 camera and now we have the following requirements, please help us:

1. We want to save the camera calibration data in the memory chip of the corresponding camera, how to do it?
2. We want to modify the SN name to distinguish the left and right cameras. Can the SN name be modified through the software interface?

Both answers heavily depend on that question.

You cannot modify the serial number. But U3V/GEV devices have the DeviceUserId feature, which allows you to write a personalized name into the camera. You can then open the cameras in ic4 API by specifying that name.

Storing and loading calibration data is currently not supported with the released firmware. However, if you create a support case at https://www.theimagingsource.com/company/contact/, we can supply you with an experimental build that allows you to store a small amount of data.
