Option to add the Cost of Crafting an item to the general item tooltips (without knowing the profession). #1712
Description
What version(s) of WoW are you using?
Classic Era
What problem are you experiencing that led to you asking for this feature?
In WoW Vanilla i often wonder is it worth to invest in leveling a crafting profession or to just sell the gathering mats and buy the finished product (bags, potions, gear...) due to the incredibly high competition on the AH and the steep costs of leveling a profession (especially as a solo non-guild player).
Or i am thinking should i buy the mats and find a crafter if the mats+fee would currently end up cheaper than just buying the finished product from the AH.
As far as i know Auctionator already can show crafting costs but it only does so if you already have the profession leveled and know the recipes.
Currently i have to open every recipe and follow through every crafting step process on wowhead and manually compare costs which takes a lot of time, especially for high level recipes that have many components that have their own sub components (like bolts of cloth or engineering stuff).
What solution would you like?
Can you please add an option to make this cost of crafting information available in the item tooltip where Vendor price and Auction price is already listed?
Any alternatives you can think of?
If the above convenient option is not possible then somehow adding this info to the auction house UI would be an okay alternative.
As long as we can see the crafting cost information without actually needing to have the profession learned and leveled and the recipes known.
Anything else?
Thank you for this amazing addon!
It makes WoW vanilla AH so much more enjoyable.
