I have dig in into this error to see how to fix it. The root cause is maybe the ruby version used by Metasploit :

I found this PR in the Metasploit project (rapid7/metasploit-framework#20498) and I see this link which show the ruby version used by the tool : https://github.com/rapid7/metasploit-framework/blob/master/.ruby-version (3.3.8)

The metasploit team also said that the pinned version for stringio is 3.1.1

On Exegol, the ruby version installed is still 3.1.5 (rvm use 3.1.5@metasploit-framework --create)

I will test to install metasploit with this version at the image building to see if this error is fixed or not.
