The Dark Matter Furnace and Red Matter Furnace are upgraded furnaces with more furnacey furnacing. The Dark Matter Furnace is about 20 times faster than a regular furnace and duplicates ores (raw or otherwise) 50% of the time when smelting. The Red Matter Furnace is around 60 times faster than a regular furnace and always duplicates ores.

To fuel Dark and Red Matter Furnaces, use any of the alchemical fuels (Alchemical Coal, Mobius Fuel, or Aeternalis Fuel). They can also be placed next to an Energy Collector to fuel them.
