Upgrades

(MineClone2/Mineclonia only)

You can craft upgrades to enchant Dark and Red Matter tools and armor with the following enchantments:

  • Curse of Vanishing (applied to any tool or armor)
  • Depth Strider I-III (applied to boots)
  • Fire Aspect I-II (applied to sword, axe, or katar)
  • Fortune I-III (applied to any tool)
  • Frost Walker I-II (applied to boots)
  • Knockback I-II (applied to sword, axe, or katar)
  • Looting I-III (applied to sword, axe, or katar)
  • Silk Touch (applied to any tool)
  • Soul Speed I-III (applied to boots)
  • Thorns I-III (applied to armor)

To craft them, make a Blank Upgrade out of copper and tuff (because I thought they needed more uses). Then, put the Blank Upgrade in the center, dark matter in the corners and another material (depending on the upgrade) in the other slots. Upgrades with higher levels use the lower level upgrade instead of a Blank Upgrade (so to make Thorns III, Thorns II would be in the middle).

The Upgrader (made with Dark Matter Blocks, Red Matter Blocks, and tuff) is used to apply upgrades to Dark and Red Matter Tools. Put an upgrade in the "Upgrade" slot and a tool or armor piece in the "Tool/Armor" slot. If the upgrade can be applied (and is not already), the upgraded tool will appear in the "Output" slot.

NOTE: Currently, tool abilities ignore enchantments. This may be changed in a future update.

ANOTHER NOTE: Upgrades cannot be removed in any way (although, for example, you could replace Thorns III with Thorns I if for some reason you wanted that) and do not increase the energy value of the tool. This also might change.
