React-Native-Video Subtitle don't work or show

Title: Subtitles not showing in react-native-video v6 with .srt files

I'm trying to display subtitles in a react-native-video player using version 6, but the subtitles are not showing at all. I’m fetching .srt files from a server and passing them via the textTracks prop.

Here's my code:

What I’ve tried:

Ensured TextTrackType.SUBRIP is used for .srt files.

Set selectedTextTrack to the correct language ('en').

Applied a subtitle style with background color and font size to check if they render.

Problem:
Even though TextTracks is correctly populated with URLs, the subtitles are not displayed.

Questions:

Is there anything wrong with how I’m setting textTracks or selectedTextTrack?

Could subtitleStyle={{ opacity: 0 }} be causing it? (I tried opacity 1, still nothing shows.)

Are there any known issues with react-native-video v6 and .srt subtitles?

Any guidance on how to properly display subtitles in react-native-video would be greatly appreciated.
