Directory Opus only loads thumbnails after they have been generated in Windows Explorer or Voidtools' Everything

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open the directory containing the SVG files for the first time in Directory Opus. If this is the first time the directory is opened, no thumbnails will be shown.
2. Open the same directory in Windows Explorer or Voidtools' Everything. Thumbnails will now be generated and displayed.
3. Reopen the folder in Directory Opus, and it will now show the thumbnails.

I'm not sure if this is a bug in Directory Opus or related to another utility.

I also noticed something else.

I have PowerToys installed, and after installing this utility, I initially didn’t notice any change in thumbnail loading times. So I went to PowerToys’ File Explorer add-ons and disabled SVG for both the Preview Pane and Thumbnail Icon Preview, then restarted the computer.

After the restart, I observed the behavior described in the main post.

However, when I re-enabled SVG only for the Preview Pane (while keeping it disabled for Thumbnail Icon Preview), the issue in Directory Opus was resolved.

Hm interesting. Well I know from experience that the powertoys thumbnail extension when enabled will take precedence for whatever reason. And I believe that Directory Opus will pull from the regular Windows thumbnail cache for an image if it's available.

So seems like Directory Opus is failing to generate the thumbnails for some reason.

I was able to possibly replicate in the windows sandbox after installing my extension and then installing powertoys. I enabled the thumbnail_debug option in the advanced opus settings and it shows this in DebugView from SysInternals:

Then strangely just now, I went into powertoys and disabled the svg thumbnail extension, then restarted opus, and now it seems to work.

So I'm not sure, it might have just been a setting change where it didn't notice there was a new thumbnail handler registered until Opus restarted.

Not sure how to interpret that though. It shows the same GetThumbnailFromPlugin failed, but then succeeds, so idk. It seems like the DX_DATABASE_QUERY_TYPE_FORCE_11ON12 lines might not even be from directory opus.

I notice if I re-enable the powertoys svg thumbnail toggle, thumbnails again don't seem to work for new files until I restart directory opus. BUT any thumbnails that tried to generate and failed, still won't show thumbnails even after restarting opus, BUT new svg files will.

Like this one, you can see the failed thumbnail was generated after i enabled the svg powertoys extension but hadn't restarted opus yet, then the other ones show up after making the new svg files and restarting opus, but the previous one still shows as failed.

So it's almost like it's almost like it's caching the failed thumbnails somehow.

Anyway I think a workaround is this:

1. Exit directory opus, make sure it's actually closed and not running in the background
2. Disable the powertoys svg thumbnail toggle
3. Search the start menu for 'cleanup' and select to clear the thumbnails cache checkbox, and hit ok
4. Restart opus. Seems like all thumbnails should generate now.

I should point out I didn't really notice this issue on my main machine, though I haven't really toggled the powertoys svg thumbnail much.
