Android 16 KB Alignment

Dear PdfBox-Android maintainers,

With the upcoming requirement for all apps targeting Android 15 and above to support devices configured with a 16 KB memory page size, I wanted to inquire if there is any plan or timeline for releasing a version of com.tom-roush:pdfbox-android that is compatible with this new page size alignment requirement.

Given that current native libraries might not be aligned to 16 KB boundaries, this compatibility is crucial for apps to run properly on newer devices and comply with Google Play policies starting November 1, 2025.

Could you please share if:

There is an ongoing effort to provide support for 16 KB page sizes?

An estimated release date or roadmap for such a version?

Any recommendations for developers needing to prepare their apps ahead of this change?
