Peer-to-Peer & BitTorrent local listening interfaces #8736

Tribler 8.2.3 Build 173, I have been testing some of Triblers listening interface settings, and set the torrent proxy, for example, to use SOCKS5.

  1. If I configure the Peer-to-Peer local listening interface IP to match the socks proxy, Tribler doesn't seem to like it and torrents stall. Is this correct usage?
  2. Can IPv8 traffic be configured to use the SOCKS5 proxy?
  3. What is the, "Peer-to-Peer", local listening interface/s used for, IPv8 traffic, tunnels and queries?
  4. What is the, "BitTorrent", local listening interface used for, RSS feeds and search queries?
  5. What is the, "Torrent", proxy setting used for, all torrent traffic used with zero hops/ no anonymity? Does this include peer-to-peer connections and hostname lookups too?

Information is sparse/ non-existent with these settings!
