Change default line spacing

I've googled this but I don't understand anything about CSS or how Trilium works - the default line spacing in all notes is too huge; I just want single spacing everywhere. Can someone tell me how to do that but like I'm 5? :) I want everything on every new note to look like this:

and not Trilium's default which is this:

That doesn't change the default.

Make a note, give it the note type CSS under basic properties.

p {
    margin-bottom: 0 !important;
}

Copy that into it (this changes the appearance of <p> paragraph HTML tags), give it the #appCss (owned) attribute, restart or reload (F5/ctrl-R)

thank you for this, and thank you @mobamoba for asking. This is something that's bugged me from the beginning but kept pushing into the "look into later" bin as I try and figure out other things. I thought the solution was going to be much harder to do something about!
