Your data is stored in a database on your device. If u set up a synch server data is transferred over your server. The app itself doesn´t "call home" anywhere.

The only exception to what @CobriMediaJulien mentioned is checking for updates. At startup the desktop application will make a request to GitHub to check if there are any available updates.

If not desirable, this behavior can be changed in settings.
