Is there any way to show folder and files separate

Is there any way to show only folders in tree and when select folder then all files in it is shown beside. I have too many files and becomes difficult to move. With only folders showing I can switch fast

@ryzenway , could you describe more in detail your request? Maybe create a mockup design so that we can understand it better.

Is there a note application that handles it like that?

The option to collapse expanded note is not sufficient for you?

Hi here is an example of obsidian plugin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbz8IZtXuUE. Option to collapse expanded note in tree view is good but I have large number of files. Tree becomes difficult to navigate. If I have tree with just folders and beside file list for folder. Then I can switch folder fast and see more files.

Unfortunately I don't see it happening very soon since it would involve quite a lot of effort.

If it gains more traction, we might consider it.

My workaround is to use mark my main root notes (a.k.a. folders) as Bookmarks, which adds them to the Launchbar. It's not a solution, because you can't cursor-key to move around like in the tree panel, but it helps a little.
