Description
Prerequisites
- I have carried out troubleshooting steps and I believe I have found a bug.
- I have searched for similar bugs in both open and closed issues and cannot find a duplicate.
Describe the bug
The incorrect text is displayed in the PDF attachment in the email when the plugin is translated to Chinese language. The translation is done using the Loco Translate plugin.
Steps to reproduce
-
Install & activate the Loco Translate plugin.
-
Go to Loco Translate -> Home -> Click on the Print Invoice & Delivery Notes plugin -> Select "Chinese (Taiwan)" language there.
-
Translate our plugin strings to Chinese language using the Google translator.
-
Please click on the "Save" button each time when adding the translation for the string. Then click on the "Check" and "Sync" buttons present there.
-
Select the "Email to attachment" option present in the "Templates" tab.
-
Then, place an order for the product and you will receive the PDF in the order email. If you open that invoice PDF, you will notice the incorrect text displayed there.

Expected behavior
The translated text should be displayed in the PDF attached to the email.
WordPress Environment
Isolating the problem
- I have deactivated other plugins and confirmed this bug occurs when only our plugin is active.
- This bug happens with a default WordPress theme active, or Storefront.
- I can reproduce this bug consistently using the steps above.
