Help needed testing v.1.2.0

The v.1.2.0a0 is now using Sigenergy Modbus 2.8 specifications.

Because I still don't have a Sigenergy charger I can't test 2 new features, so please help me with this.

• "Running State" for DC Chargers. Is it changing states as it should?
• What is the difference between "Total Load Power" and "General Load Power" when using AC or DC charging? One of them will be used to replace "Consumed Power".

Unfortunately on my system both remain as unknown. Even through having plugged/unpluged/started/stopping DC charging.

FYI as well it looks like the bundle for v.1.2.0a1 has something wrong with it as they don't have the correct files - it's still got the 1.11.1 manifest and doesn't contain any references to 31513 register, unlike the a0 version.

What exactly is "unknown"?

I shall reach out to support to validate. I'd been bugging them for a separate sensor so that my PV Excess charging wasn't showing up in the "load" which looks like what they added. Must have been a few people asking.

Oh and the current version was deployed to me 31st Dec @ 05:07 NZDT

That is strange.
I emailed my Sigenergy contact couple of days ago to see if the documentation I have is accurate. I have not reviewed any documentation from them directly and they are not fast to answer.

The DC and AC ChargerS i can't test but the rest seem to work on my system in Sweden.

Once my system is done with it's morning exports, I'll go give it a restart. Who knows it might kick it 😅

They respond pretty fast I've found - maybe we get different support team in APAC? I can follow up with them as well. Either way I'll hang around to test it.

Edit: Got distracted by V2X with the DC charger, I'll restart it tomorrow.

Hey, sorry about the delay, life got in the way.

I've fully restarted and confirmed with Sig the firmware should fully support this so it's a bit odd that it's still not coming through. Is there another preferred way you'd like this tested?

You seem to have better luck getting Sigenergy to answer you. See if they can provide the Modbus spec your firmware is supposed to work with. The one I go works for me but I still haven't heard anything from Sigenergy...

It seems the registers for General load power - 30282 and Total loadpower - 30284 are off-by-one in the docs. I get the values out of 30283 and 30285 respectively.

These load numbers match up so I'll contact them again to let them know the document appears to be wrong.

In terms of what they reflect - General Load Power is the household consumption minus the Car Charging. Total Load Power is both combined. I lack an AC charger but I'd presume that the same would apply to that (i.e. it's excluded from the General Load Power). General Load Power is a more useful one if you are using something like Predbat to do automations, as you only want the forecasts done on "General" usage.

Either way, the DC Charger status is still not updating, even though that's got the correct register.

Okay so another support ticket later and for whatever reason it's now behaving as you expected and with your exact code - started doing so at 7am my time yesterday I just hadn't noticed. I have no idea what was going on with my system but 🤷🏼‍♂️ obviously wasn't code related on your side.

General Load Power

This shows the house load minus any EV DC Charging

Total Load Power

This shows the total load - house, plus EV DC charging (including when it was importing last night). This is really handy as it means I have an overview of everything, but given I usually entirely charge off of solar having the separated stats means I can ignore the car charging in something like PredBat entirely by using the "General Load Power" instead.

As you'd expect, the details are correct here.

Seems to be behaving. It's correctly detecting my V2G exports as discharging from the EVDC as well when it's running the house, so seems to be picking all the states up correctly so far.

Consumed Power is correctly populating with the new data source for me.

Yup, the EV DC states are working nicely. Thank you for adding them. This mornings exporting from the car showed up nicely.
