[BUG] Is this just broken now?

I haven't been able to get anything to download since around the 19th of October. I think around that time YouTube changed something which broke downloading videos.

Has anyone had anything download after around that date or know of any way to get it working again?

Yes there have been some changes on Youtube recently which broke most downloaders. However, yt-dlp on its latest version is still functional.

In YoutubeDL-Material, if you go to settings

then Advanced

and switch to yt-dlp then this should work. I just tested it on a video and no problem.

When ytdl material restarted supposed update yt-dlp to latest version, or force manual update to yt-dlp from tasks, *CMIIW

it doesnt work anymore and it doesnt update ytdl. this project was abandoned

What changes have you made to the code?

In short: added Deno for external runtime support and simplified the calls and added more flags that get dropped for potentially crashing the flow.

This is github, the source code is available to you. If you do not trust/understand my work , please certainly do not implement/use it.

But as far as 'breaking it' if someone here fixes it then you swap the image back to the OG One to update to it? it will not be an issue to switch back upstream. My solution is only a stopgap until that point.

At this point if you're reading, I've resolved 264 security issues, upgraded the entire stack to modern deps and fixed countless issues.
