Technical Prerequisites for Member Institution Participation

In order for member institutions to ready themselves for participation, they need to do the following:

1. Follow the instructions at https://github.com/UCLALibrary/resourcesync-oai-pmh/tree/master/resourcesync_oai_pmh/source for setting up a host machine and installing the required software.
2. Follow the instructions at https://github.com/UCLALibrary/resourcesync-oai-pmh/wiki/Use-Case-Recipes#content-provider-source for making their chosen collections available for synchronization.
3. Ensure that UCLA Library has access via HTTP GET to all of the URLs found in the generated ResourceSync documents (typically, the resource at "/.well-known/resourcesync", as well as all the resources under "/resourcesync" and all the URLs found in the generated ResourceLists and ChangeLists). 4. Point UCLA Library to their:
   1. ResourceSync source description URL (e.g., http://prrlapython-source.library.ucla.edu/.well-known/resourcesync)
   2. OAI-PMH endpoint URL, found in the baseURL tag in their institution's OAI-PMH "Identify" request: (e.g., http://digital2.library.ucla.edu/oai2_0.do)
