When I click to run the algorithm, QGIS is closing by itself. Does anyone know how to fix this?

What OS and version are you using ? Windows 11 ?

Have you tried to update the jpype library to 1.5.0 as indicated here ?

@Sazid053 is QGIS closes once you click on the run button or it starts doing something for few seconds before ?
What is your OS, QGIS version and way of installing QGIS ?

QGIS closes immediately after I click on the run button without doing anything.

Windows 10 Pro 22H2, QGIS Desktop 3.34.1 (which is a Long Term Release (LTR)), UMEP 4.1.1, processing_umep 2.0.35

Where did you use the pip install ? Because if QGIS is installed in a standalone installer, this is probable that the library installed using pip is not applied in your QGIS environment. Ideally, on windows, it is recommended using the osgeo4W package or if you are familiar with Python environment, installing a Python environement containing the qgis library and other required packages by UMEP
