Strange Solweig Output #754
-
Hello all, For my Bachelor thesis, I am using Solweig to generate Trmt/UTICI maps. I ran the model and analyzed the output. However, I noticed that during the night, forest areas appear warmer than urban areas. Is this normal? UTC was set correctly. My CDSM shows vegetation height above ground (otherwise 0). The land cover was created using the preprocessor. All other parameters were left at their default settings. The meteorological data is attached. Do you have any idea what might have gone wrong? Thanks in advance! |

That could definitely be the case during night, especially if you have clear skies. The tree canopies blocks the cool sky and create areas with relatively warmer areas underneath the trees. |
