Input Format (.yml) Clarification for Urban Energy Balance: Urban Energy Balance (SUEWS, advanced)

Dear UMEP Team,

I am currently using the SUEWS model and have prepared the input data using "SUEWS Prepare" in the standard input format. However, upon attempting to run the "Urban Energy Balance: SUEWS v2025.6.30" model, I noticed that, unlike previous versions, it now asks for a .yml file instead of the input folder (please see the attached figure).

Could you please advise on how to proceed with this new input requirement?

Hi,
SUEWS Prepare is bout to be deprecated and replaced with SUEWS Database Prepare. This tool generates the yml-files needed. It is available in the new version coming up in a few days. Also, a new version of SUEWS/SuPy will also be available.

First of all, I'd like to thank the UMEP development and support team. I recently discovered it, and it's been extremely useful for my research.
Regarding the issue with the .yml file, I was wondering if you've already solved it by using the new SUEWS Database Prepare component. I first tried with the old SUEWS Prepare component, as you mentioned, and no .yml file was created. Then, after reading this conversation, I tried again with the new component, but still, no .yml file was created, even though the main SUEWS process required it..
I've searched for solutions in manuals and tutorials, but I've only found mentions of older plugin versions.

Do you have any updates or a solution for this?

I was facing the same problem.
I used the .nml file I had previously created for an earlier task. I updated the input and output file paths in that .nml file to point to the new files generated by SUEWS Prepare. Then I ran the model in Python.
