UMEP/SEBE - any options for rooftop only solar potential #778
-
Hi, I am new to QGIS and attempting to replicate a workflow in ArcGIS Pro to calculate solar potential on rooftops: https://learn.arcgis.com/en/projects/estimate-solar-power-potential/ I notice with SEBE it has me calculating wall aspects/heights which I was able to do with my DSM and the Urban Geometry plugin. However when attempting to use the SEBE plugin it fails after 10 minutes of executing main model with the following error:
The width and height of my DSM is 4800 x 7200 at 1m x 1m pixel size and appears to be float32 data type. I'm wondering if there's a way to not have to compute wall aspect/height as part of a rooftop solar workflow, or if there's a better way to do this. My input DSM is a small portion of a larger region I would want to estimate solar potential for. At this stage I'm only interested in rooftops. Thanks! |

At the moment, both roofs and walls are included and it would be a time consuming task to remove the walls. You should reduce your model domain for each calculation by dividing your area into smaller sections. |
