I've attached some images of the current frontend progress on the Student View and Assignments Page.

⚠️ Note: This is still a work in progress. The assignments page UI is mostly complete, but interactive elements (e.g., clicking on individual assignments) are not yet functional. Backend integration will soon make everything fully operational.

• Assignments Page: Frontend interface designed similar to Canvas; interactive features pending.

Hello Frank, I really like your student-view page. It is aesthetically pleasing and seems engaging. The only thing I can say is that perhaps connect with the backend to see if all the features you included in your screen shot are feasible.

For your Assignment viewer page: I believe that other than your assignment-thread viewer you should have another panel were you might be able to view the assignment. Or perhaps a short assignment summary in the assignment-thread column.

• Student View:
  Absolutely love how clean and well-organized the dashboard is. The layout feels intuitive, and the use of icons, badges, and stats gives it a gamified but still professional vibe. I can totally see students enjoying the experience!

• Gaming Stats + Badges:
  These are 🔥. The circular progress bar and achievement layout are both engaging and very motivating — love the balance between learning and encouragement.

• Dark Theme Toggle:
  It looks super smooth! Great job handling the theme switcher along with the dropdown for Profile, Settings, and Logout. Small details like this go a long way in UX polish.

• Assignment Page:
  The Canvas-style layout makes it immediately familiar and easy to use. I appreciate that you’ve built it with expandability in mind (for example, eventual interactive elements). The spacing and typography make it very readable. Once the backend is wired in, I think this will be one of the strongest modules we have.

💡 Suggestions

• Maybe show a hover effect or subtle animation for assignments to signal interactivity, even if they’re not functional yet. Helps users understand that clicking will eventually do something.
• Could be useful to add an empty state message when no assignments are loaded yet (“No assignments posted yet. Check back soon!”).
• If time allows, adding a simple tooltip on icons (like badges or XP bars) might enhance usability for new users.

Nice work, Frank. This is extraordinary progress in the right direction for LessonConnect. I find both of your implementations and the current designs to be very clean, simplistic, organized, and well thought out. No suggestion for improvements here.
