Controlled vocabularies or taxonomies for software

Does anyone know of controlled vocabularies or taxonomies for software, such as a controlled list of programing languages, or types of software, etc? Interesting in using these to build a software search interface for Heliophysics software.

This isn't exactly an answer, but work on metadata for software includes https://codemeta.github.io, which might help either directly or by some of the things it points to

We are looking into codemeta, but haven't found any controlled vocabularies yet. Is there an ontoportal for software, perhaps? https://ontoportal.org/
