Project: Discord Forwarding Bot

Overview

The Opportunities Forwarding Bot is a relatively-new project intended to forward opportunity announcements from this GitHub discussions page to our club Discord server.

We are opening up this project for our community to contribute so that interested people can get experience programming in Rust/making Discord bots!

How you can contribute

• Brainstorming/suggestions
  • (For example: How should we host the bot?, How should it respond to direct messages?)
• Contribute to the bot's code!
• Manage project issues, contributors, balance the workload, and check in on progress

Expectations

• Everyone

  • Attend meetings (as many as you can) and meet deadlines (if we do set deadlines)

• Coder

  • Have some knowledge of Rust development, or is willing to learn (look at the project's README for how to get started). Contact @personalizedrefrigerator if you have further questions.
