We’ve created this discussion post to accompany the UXarray tutorial at the Joint MPAS/WRF Users Workshop 2025. Use it to share ideas, visualization examples, feature requests, or any other feedback.

Here, I share the vertical cross sections along a fixed latitude or longitude based on UXARRAY (@philipc2 helped me figure this out during the recent Global km-scale Hackathon 2025). We need some tricks to make this happen. It would be great if UXARRY could simplify this process further.

@guoqing-noaa this is a great example, and I agree we should consider having some form of convenience in UXarray to generate this kind of vertical cross sections.

Would you mind sharing your code that generated the above here so that the others could generate similar plots easily with UXarray in the meantime?

Thanks for sharing the notebooks. I'll review your workflow and get back.
uxarray can remap data to a grid that is defined using map-projected coordinates. You provide the target grid in its final projected form, and uxarray handles the data transfer to it.

Plots on constant pressure levels and examples as scripts (or downloadable as scripts) rather than just notebooks also came up.
