Liquidity Position NFT Burned Without Asset Return — Base Network (Critical Protocol Issue) #241

Description

@djamesincfl

Hello Uniswap Engineering Team,

I am reporting a critical on-chain issue involving a liquidity position for the SMJZ/ETH pair on the Base Network.

🔹 Problem Summary

A Uniswap liquidity position NFT was created successfully, but the position was later burned by the Uniswap router contract without returning the underlying assets (WETH + SMJZ) to my wallet. The NFT has disappeared from my holdings.

This appears to be a protocol-level malfunction affecting multiple users.

🔹 Transaction Details

Wallet: 0x15163dE7D4228069084364Fa4049B35203A21E1D

Network: Base Mainnet

Transaction Hash:
0x97aab331dda1112434d46856c254dc12868610721880e04d708c1d92ddc5eb92

🔹 Relevant Contract

The burn and liquidity movement occurred inside the Uniswap contract:
0x339eE7A953d8f327650e113411574eC6cCa0e328

🔹 Evidence From Logs

Liquidity was transferred into the Uniswap contract

Burn event emitted

Funds NOT returned to my wallet

LP NFT disappeared

Other users of the SMJZ token are also reporting missing LP NFTs

🔹 Why This Requires Engineering Review

This is not a wallet-provider issue.
The behavior occurred entirely inside Uniswap’s contracts and may indicate:

A Base network sync issue

Incorrect position accounting

Router misrouting

NFT registry problem

Uniswap Interface not reflecting real position state

🔹 Request

Please investigate this issue as a potential protocol defect affecting liquidity providers on Base.

I am available to provide any additional logs needed.

Thank you.
