Expansion of keywords

Maybe I'm missing the feature, but it'd be nice if BeautifyX would expand VFP keywords, like expanding REPL to REPLACE and SELE to SELECT. I maintain some code done by another VFP programmer and he used the shortened commands, which I think most people consider a bad habit (I know I do). BeautifyX does not presently seem to do any expansion.

I am certain that if this has been suggested during or near the development of BeautifyX (about a dozen years ago), I would have given careful examination to the feasibility of making it part of BeautifyX (or, possibly, as a separate Thor tool).

Now, however, there are some strong reasons not to do so:

• This is not closely related to any of the existing features in BeautifyX, and thus would likely entail quite a bit of new work.
• I do not have a clear understanding of how exactly VFP expands keywords, nor what exceptions would have to be handled (there are always exceptions).
• This would likely appeal to only a very small audience of users.
• This would only need to be applied once to any project, so any ad hoc solution would likely be more sufficient.

As for this last point, I would likely turn to GoFish replacement mode.
