having the same number of brain slices after registration

I use VAA3D and mbrainaligner to register the brain photos of mice taken by two-photon tomography. however I was wondering that how I could keep the same number of brain images after the registration. in other words I mean I do not want the interpolation to be applied. How can I do this?
