Mouse vertical look (pitch) not working in gameplay, works in menus

Description

In Counter-Strike 2, the mouse vertical axis (pitch) does not work during gameplay.
The mouse can look left/right normally, but cannot look up or down once inside a match.

Important details:

• The mouse vertical movement works correctly in menus and UI.
• The issue happens only during gameplay (practice, offline, online).
• Reinstalling the game completely does not fix the issue.
• Steam Input ON or OFF does not change the behavior.
• Connecting a controller does not fix it.
• Mouse works normally in other games.

System

OS: Windows 11
Laptop: ASUS TUF Gaming F15 (FX507ZC4)
CPU: Intel i5-12500H
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3050 Laptop GPU
Mouse: ASUS TUF Gaming M5 (wired USB)
Input: Mouse only (no controller)

Steps to reproduce

1. Launch Counter-Strike 2
2. Enter any practice or online match
3. Try to move the camera up/down with the mouse
4. Vertical camera movement does not work

Expected result

Mouse should move the camera vertically (pitch) during gameplay.

Current result

Vertical mouse movement works in menus but is completely blocked during gameplay.

Workarounds tested (none work)

• Reset keybinds
• Console commands (m_pitch, cl_pitchup/down, bind mouse_y pitch)
• Steam Input ON/OFF
• Controller connected
• Clean reinstall
