Bug: Apps Dark/Light mode switching stop working after suspension

Issue Description

When changing the system theme from Dark Mode to Light Mode (or vice versa) using the Command Center, applications that normally detect the device's color scheme (such as Google Chrome and VS Code) do not update to reflect the change.

Steps to Reproduce

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

After leaving Suspend/Sleep

Open an app that supports system theming (e.g., VS Code or Chrome).

Open the Command Center.

Toggle the theme from Dark to Light.

Observe that the open applications remain in Dark Mode.

On what version of Vanilla OS this happens?

Apps handle dark mode differently. Chrome for example still uses a GTK theme, so doesn't really support theme switching.

You can still get this to work by installing a Gnome Extension that switches the GTK theme for you.
I recommend the "Legacy (GTK3) Theme Scheme Auto Switcher" extension that you can get from the Extension Manager app.

This is an important detail, I also noticed the dark mode stop working after suspension, I think about a portal crash (as always, idk why those portals are so unstable).

I'm asking because I can't reproduce this.
