Expo 53 upgradation require

Hello Team,

First of all, thank you for your great work on this SDK. It has been working well with Expo SDK 50, and we appreciate your efforts in maintaining this project.

However, we've noticed that the current version of the SDK is not compatible with Expo SDK 53. We also observed that you recently provided updates for React Native CLI to support the latest React Native versions, which is great.

Could you please look into providing similar updates to ensure compatibility with the latest Expo SDK (v53)? Many developers like us rely on Expo-managed workflows, and having compatibility with the latest Expo version would be extremely helpful for early integration and testing.

Please let us know if there's any estimated timeline for this update or if there's a temporary workaround we can follow.

i am trying to work on helping to update to expo53 too! (i am not part of the team though, just want to get this done to be able to finish my mobile app haha and also contribute to the community of course)

i have a question for you though: on my current project, I am using expo50. Everything works on a simulator but when I put the app on a real iPhone, it freezes at the loading screen (like nothing happens after that. have you ever faced that? What's weird to me is that it doesn't happen when on the simulator. THere everything works well)

also, if I have any updates about expo53 i will let you know!

Hi @FrejusGdm, thanks for your response on it, No we don't get any error on real device, its working fine in ios as well as in android. Currently using expo 50
