Save As -> External File for Project files default should use name not guid #7732

Version and Platform (required):

  • Binary Ninja Version: 5.2.8722
  • Edition: Ultimate
  • OS: Ubuntu
  • OS Version: 22.04
  • CPU Architecture: arm64

Bug Description:
When I use Save As -> External File to save a project file, the default name suggested is the file's guid, not its name. It should suggest I use the actual name of the file instead.

Also, the default save location is somewhere in the project's data directory, which is never where I want to be saving. It should show somewhere more reasonable, such as the directory which contains the project itself, or maybe my home folder, or last used save location.

Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Open project
  2. Open file in project
  3. File > Save As > Save External File
  4. Observe default name is guid
  5. Observe default location is within the project structure

Expected Behavior:
I expected the default save name and location to be sensible.
