Push + pull at the same time?

I've been using the backup hotkey so far, but just now I've noticed that it doesn't pull at the same time. Is there a way I can push and pull at the same time? I already set backup and pull to the same hotkey to no avail.

I think you are searching for the "Pull changes before push" setting under "Backup".
