Problem Description / Use Case
Currently, when using Torrentio, some Brazilian sources (such as comando.la and bludvfilmes.tv) provide torrents without language tags in the title.
Torrentio itself detects these sources and automatically assigns the correct language tag (PT-BR) to the streams.
However, when using other in front of Torrentio (for example with AioStreams), these language tags are lost because other relies only on existing tags in the title.
As a result:
Portuguese streams lose their language information
Language filters (e.g. Portuguese only) stop working
Language-based sorting does not work
Other addons that depend on language tags fail to prioritize these streams
Proposed Solution
Implement a smarter language detection system that can:
Detect the language based on:
The movie/series title language
Trakt aliases (localized titles)
Optional: common language keywords or patterns
Automatically assign a language tag (e.g. pt, es, en) to the stream result when:
The detected title language strongly matches a known language
The source is known to be region-specific (e.g. Brazilian sites)
This would allow:
Proper language filtering
Correct language-based sorting
Example
Torrent title:
O Auto da Compadecida 2000 1080p WEB-DL
No explicit [PT] or [PT-BR] tag
Title and Trakt aliases clearly indicate Portuguese
➡️ AioStreams should automatically assign:
Language: Portuguese
Benefits
Better UX for non-English users
Preserves language metadata from upstream addons
Improves filtering and ordering accuracy
Makes AioStreams more robust and intelligent
