空間ならではの資料展示・解説を行うことで、より直観的な理解を幅広い対象に提供し、天文学や宇宙開発の発展に寄与することを図ります。また、展示資料にはその寄託者である制作者のクレジットを明記し、ソーシャル VR 等で活動するクリエイターの紹介と応援を行っています。<br/> 当館の機能は、以下の３点です。</p><ol><li>天文学や宇宙開発に関する資料を収集すること</li><li>バーチャル空間内に展示することでソーシャル VR および天文学や宇宙開発の魅力を発信し普及啓発を行うこと</li><li>天文+xR の新たな価値を研究すること</li></ol><h2>当館の特徴について</h2><ul><li>ソーシャル VR 空間上に施設を設置することにより、従来の Web ページ型デジタルアーカイブでは実現しにくい、複数人の来館者が互いにコミュニケーションを取りながら展示についての理解を深めることを可能とします。</li><li>当館は天文学や宇宙開発に関する資料をVR空間ならではの三次元的、インタラクティブな表現で展示し、天文系資料の展示として新たなアプローチとなる情報発信を行います。また、接続元の時間と場所を問わずアクセスが可能であり、世界各地から任意の時間に来館、交流できる場を提供します。</li><li>制作は任意団体である天文仮想研究所（VR
