The goal of this will be to split trio, anyio and asyncio dns resolvers into separate maintainable python libraries or have aiodns adopt cyares as an optional dependency. The due date is pretty lax and is only here if things wind up lazier than usual. Afterwards the plan is to decommission all currently available extensions into their newly provided homes once fully migrated. Pycares has a chance of being used with the anyio and trio extensions also which would be huge.
