Any way to add "tabstoppers"?

Hi, basically I insert some text into the document view, and I have a list of int values, which would represent where I would need the tab-stops....
Also an additional thing would be, how to add predefined text, like a snippet in some way... Basically a tab-stopper but with default value if that makes any sense.
