3DM: only show visible layer

For 3DM (Rhino) files, I have parts hidden on different layers. The finished piece is often placed on its own layer and that's how I save the file. When browsing through the files in file explorer, you can easily see the finished piece in the thumbnail. However, in the viewer it shows all parts in a 3DM file regardless of the layer status (visible or hidden). Is it possible to add support to layer status? Thanks.
