Deathtouch creatures don't kill

Describe the bug
I enchant my deathtouch creatures with a direct damage effect via Fire Whip/Veridian Longbow/Power of Fire, then the damaged creatures don't die. The deathtouch creatures do kill on combat, but not direct damage.

Expected behavior
The direct damage should kill most targeted creatures.
