Unable to scan pixel phone WiFi sharing QR codes

In my opinion, the Pixel phone's WiFi sharing QR codes are needlessly hard to scan. But other QR code implementations do scan them, and I also want WiFi sharing to work universally, so I'd like it if rqrr was able to read these.

Example image (from a screenshot of my phone):

rqrr can't seem to locate the QR code in that image. Interestingly, the bardecoder crate does locate it, although it's not as good at decoding the QR codes; it doesn't handle UTF8 and also its error detection doesn't seem as good.

I am actually able to decode these by using bardecoder to read the grid, and then using rqrr to decode it, but that seems a bit silly.

My guess is that the circles as capstones (the three big guide markers) mess with the jiggle_perspective. In there, the initial "perspective" is changed a bit, and scored. One of the score components is that the capstones are where we would expect them to be. And that is done by expecting a 3x3 square surrounded by a 4x4 white ring and a 5x5 black ring. This probably does not align with the roundness in the above code.

I guess we could perhaps skip scoring the capstones? They are not part of the data.
