Bluetooth Adapter Add-on #1256
Description
Proposal: Create a Bluetooth adapter add-on which exposes devices using various standard Bluetooth profiles as web things.
For example:
- The Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) could be used to send audio to a Bluetooth speaker or receive audio from a microphone
- The Basic Imaging Profile (BIP) could be supported to allow images to be pushed to a digital photo frame, capture photos from a remote camera or send content to be printed on a Bluetooth printer
- The Health Device Profile (HDP) could be used to read values from a thermometer or heart rate monitor
We may need to improve the device pairing UI on the gateway to support mechanisms used by Bluetooth, I'm not sure.
