Building on Windows fails.

Hello, I'm trying to build ImHex on Windows. I followed the instructions, multiple times, but I keep getting the following error:

    CMake Error at cmake_install.cmake:293 (file):
    file Failed to run dumpbin on:

        C:/Users/steve/Documents/C64



    FAILED: CMakeFiles/install.util
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe /C "cd /D "C:\Users\steve\Documents\C64 projects\ImHex\build" 
    && C:\msys64\mingw64\bin\cmake.exe -P cmake_install.cmake"
    ninja: build stopped: subcommand failed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey, build systems in general really don't like spaces in paths. Rename that "C64 Projects" folder to something that doesn't contain a space and it should work

What error did you get then?

Another thing, since you're using the mingw cmake binary, you also need to use the msys2 mingw64 terminal, otherwise your paths will be all wrong

Still building. Done a full rebuild. I am using the "msys2 mingw64" terminal. I'll let you know. Thanks again.

Ok, I removed all spaces from the path. Built without errors. When I try to run the exe I get "The code execution cannot proceed because libgcc_s_seh-1.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." The exe is in the "build" folder. "build\bin" is empty. Is it meant to be ran in-place? Am I missing a dependency? Again, thanks for your patience".

You either need to run it from within the mingw terminal (so the paths point to the right folders with the dlls inside) or you need to run the install target to setup the output folder. For example using DESTDIR=install make install or DESTDIR=install ninja install depending on the generator you used
