Ability to Extend Meso Duration

on issue #125 someone else mentioned about editing split length but do you have any plans to add an option to increase meso length after a meso has been started obviously we can end a meso early anytime but there is no way to extend one that i can recall

Lemme know if this is already a feature or adding this would be counterproductive or something

This seems like a simple and harmless update.

Just to confirm, this is not particularly for increasing a mesocycle beyond 20 weeks (will still be possible if this is implemented) but mainly to extend it normally from say 8 weeks to 10 weeks?

yup exactly just a couple weeks would be optimal but if causing a meso to be over 20 weeks is like problematic you should add some countermeasures to keep that in check otherwise yeah like extending a meso by a week or two because u feel like ur body can handle it seems a valid scenario since we already have a way to end a meso early if the need comes

You can just click the edit button of an active mesocycle, increase the mesocycle duration, and it gets extended!

It still is a lil scary though
First of all its hidden away maybe like we should like add notice or an option that pops up at the end of the meso maybe even like starting the last workout or finish it up so others know that this is an feature

And like editing a active meso feels like a disaster waiting to happen so i tend to stay away cuz i dont wanna mess anything up id argue the average user is the same that adds to the same point i mentioned above
Adding a harmless option to just increase ur meso by another microcycle would benefit an average user
Ofc this is just my pov though see what others might want

Ive also wanted to mention like how about adding a poll or something and letting the users vote to what feature needs priority

Hmm, that's fair. I already lock down editing the exercise split after a workout starts for the very same reason (to prevent any cascading issues from occurring that I might not have accounted for).

But the average user point still stands, adding a simple dialog for the last workout is a simple fix! It lets the user know the option exists at least. Creating a separate button to extend by a week seems chill too, but I try to avoid redundancy in the app's functionality. Need to think about that a bit.

The poll option does sound cool, maybe it could just let users see the existing github issues and vote on what they'd like fixed with their gmail accounts!

The poll thing github issues are a little complex i feel like specially the titles used and what not id argue the complexity will make it harder for people get involved for example maybe only adding feature requests to the poll might be good but still because most of the stuff seems a little personalized id argue you would still have to filter through them to add to a pool

Still i think we should value your opinion more on this cuz it needs to be easier for you, because u r the one fixing the issues and adding features
